for some very ODD reason, i decided to watch #SpringBreakers at 5:00 in the morning. wasn't my best decision.
the movie had its good points, and a lot of interesting points. when i first heard of the movie, i thought it would be your ideal "Spring Break" movie. NOPE. and NOPE.
there was a TON of stuff that I haven't thought of doing or heard people doing. tons of sex, drugs, alcohol. i bet you're thinking, "well that's typical Spring Break. Shut up." It was, for about the first thirty minutes. Things started to go down hill for the four girls that saved up the money to go have an adventure for Spring Break. and boy, did they have an adventure.
i saw the three girls in a completely different light. i had never heard of one of the girls. Selena, Ashley, and Vanessa definitely made me do a whole "gasp" moment. i'm not saying the movie is bad, i thought it was a good movie. it kept me on my toes majority of the time.
the character that Selena played was actually Christian and when she felt things were getting a little out of hand, she got on a bus and went back home. then things started to get even worse. the one girl that i didn't know or heard of before, got shot in the arm, said that Spring Break was over and also went home.
well, then things got even worse. they went too such lengths to kill the guy that shot the girl. and thats how it ended, the two girls Vanessa and Ashley stealing the guys car and taking off. Going back to school, probably?
the thing that makes me go "huh?!?" they never got caught doing any of that stuff, walked away scott-free. am i using the right term here?
well, i think it is time for me to go to bed.
