they say that boys are easy to understand...
WRONG.boys are simple, yet complex at the same time.
all boys are not all the same, that is for sure.
there are five things that have me pondering...
1. why can't we just tell them that we like them?
because if we tell them in our own way, and if they don't like it OH WELL.
moving on. but seriously, why is it such a crime to tell the boy that you like that you like him? are you breaking some law by professing your affections for the male? unless you are actually breaking a law, like speeding or forcing him to like you back with a knife at his throat.
but then at the same time i wouldn't DARE tell the guy that I like that I even remotely think he's cute. EVER. why? if he doesn't like me back, HIS LOSS. and if he does, that's awesome. Lets date, right now. but then at the same time, I kinda like the flirtation stage that I am in with him. He flirts, I flirt back, so on and so forth. We have only been on one date, and there are times that I really don't even call it a real date... but whatever, not the point.
i know it takes REAL guts to tell the guy that you like how you feel, but at the same time isn't it the same for him as well. that must be some real pressure and intensity going on when they are trying to tell us how they feel or trying to ask us out on a date. i feel bad for them kind of.
2. who sends the text message first??
why does it FREAKING matter who texts first? or does it really even matter at all? It's just a text message saying "hi" or "whats up". Its not like I'm asking him out or asking him to marry me. i'm just sending a simple freaking message that says about two words. i can see where it can be troublesome, where the girl is starting the conversation every time but every once in a while? i don't think it should be a problem. I totally get the saying "let him come to you" but once he comes to you, you may want to reciprocate the favor by sending him a simple message like "thinking of you" or blah, blah, blah....
sorry, i've never really been good at texting really.
i also never got into the hang of texting. i rarely ever send text messages to people. its not something i regularly do. i rarely even text my mom.
3. being flirtatious or is it just my personality?
i hear so many girls say "oh, i'm just naturally flirty" or "its my personality, its just who i am". OH WHAT THE F EVER.
flirting is not a personality. i'm sorry, but its not. for some who is a social butterfly, i don't randomly flirt with anything that moves.
flirting can be dangerous. jealous girlfriends, jealous boyfriends.
So, NO. argument INVALID.
4. when things get a little...awkward.
you all know these moments. most of us have had this moment. they come often for me.
have you ever said something but you were implying something and they didn't catch what you were implying? well, i asked if he got what i implied. nope. didn't get it.
things got awkward.
REALLLLLY awkward.
it was either me telling him that i liked him and wanted to see where things were going or nonchalantly play it off as me not understanding something that he sent.
what do you think i went with? look up #1 above for answer.
luckily, he's a guy and didn't catch that i was TOTALLY lying about what i said i didn't understand, which is why i sent "..." as a message.
yeah, no. I totally understood what he was saying.
5. girls acting dumb. GETS ON MY NERVES.
the reason why i bring this up because i kind of said that i acted dumb in my last point. but a part of me actually didn't understand what he sent me.but girls, YOU DON'T NEED TO ACT DUMB TO GET THE BOY TO LIKE YOU.
have any of you ever seen a Disney movie? none of them acted dumb and neither should you.
show off those brains, quote the bible, talk about your favorite novel. spew random facts that will get you no where on your favorite movie.
like for instance: in the movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off the house of the Bueller's is actually a house in LA in California, even though the setting in the movie is actually in Chicago. The house belonged to a family that lived in the California area. The mug that Cameron Fry (Alan Ruck) was drinking out of in the beginning of the movie was actually one of the house owner's coffee mugs. The owner said that the mug was a Father's Day gift. The family no longer lives in the house, but that's totally not the point!
you have my full permission to use this while on a date! maybe the guy will like that you know a bunch of random facts about 80's movies. I love 80's movies, i even have Ferris Bueller as my screensaver on my phone. :)
good night lovelies.
